One Sound was formed in 2008 by musicians and long time friends Thomas Stokes III (bass), RaSheed Akbar (Saxophone), Jermaine Baker (drums), Anthony Jones (keys), and James Smith (lead guitar). One Sound is a blend of diverse musical genres that includes contemporary jazz, classic R&B, funk, gospel, and progressive “sweet” soul music.
