The Armstrong Atlantic State University Biology Club is teaming up with the Goodness of Mercy Foundation to host a fundraiser event. Participants will purchase a bucket of chalk and they will be assigned an area on the quad to unleash their artistic expression. AASU art faculty will serve as judges. Prizes will be awarded for best student art and best adult art. Hamburgers, hot dogs and baked goods will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Biology Club and the Goodness of Mercy Foundation. Representatives from non-profit organizations, including Amnesty International, the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Boys and Girls Club, will be on hand to provide information about volunteer opportunities. Savannah Derby Devils 2009 Season

The Savannah Derby Devils women's flat-track roller derby league returns for their third competitive season. Each "bout" involves more than an hour of competitive play between the local roller girls and other leagues from around the region. Alcohol is not permitted in the facility but you may bring your own for tailgating in the parking lot before the bout starts (no glass, please).
